The Lion King (In 3D)

See-it - If you never saw this film about a lion cub prince in theaters (so people under the age of 25), go see this special 3-D edition of one of the best animated films of all time. But try not to cry on those 3-D glasses.

Shark Night 3D

Skip-it - This is not Pirahna 3D! This truly is "a dumb shark movie." This is a neutered PG-13 "horror" film with no gore and zero nudity - in other words, one of the worst films of the year.

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D

Skip-it - This spy family film's "clever" 4-D concept with scratch-and-sniff cards might be more intriguing if the movie didn't smell like poop and puke - but maybe director Robert Rodriguez just wanted the fourth dimension to stink as bad as the other three?

Conan the Barbarian

Skip-it - This Conan is just as bloody and violent as the original, but it is also just a cheesy, and without Arnold Schwarzenegger it's more like limburger.

Final Destination 5

See-it - If you loved the first two films in this gory franchise, you will be pleasantly surprised at this return to form. The creatively complex deaths in 3-D are reason enough to see-it in theaters, if you wait-for-it at home the lacking story between deaths might leave you wishing you were one of the ill-fated characters from the first act.

Sanctum

Skip-it - It is hard to imagine that a James Cameron film about water and adventure could be bad (The Abyss, Titanic and coming soon - Avatar 2 aka Avatar Underwater) but Sanctum, despite being beautifully shot in 3-D, drowns under lifeless performances and sappy dialogue.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Buy-it - The 3rd installment in Michael Bay's series about giant alien robots battling on earth is better than the 2nd, not quite as good as as the first, but definitely 10x better than most critics are saying. It's the perfect summer blockbuster full of 3-D action - possibly the best 3-D action since Avatar - and, surprisingly, tons of laughs! Go buy-it and help Michael Bay rub Ben Franklins in those snobby critics' faces.

Born To Be Wild

Rent-it - A beautiful documentary about the bond between humans and animals with some of the best 3-D footage you will ever see - if you like National Geographic or visiting the zoo you will love this experience. 

Alice in Wonderland (2010)

Skip-it - This long-awaited live-action version of Alice has had people on the edge of their seat since the first poster of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was released, and unfortunately, that's as interesting and cool as the rabbit hole ever gets. Alice in a 3-D wonderland was visually entertaining (though more gimmicky and not a part of the story like Avatar), but it's almost too Tim-Burtony, even by his standards. You'll love the tea party with Depp and the hare, and Helena Bonham Carter is the perfect Red Queen, but everything else disappoints.

Clash of the Titans

Rent-it - Despite overdone 3-D action, Clash of the Titans is completely flat, lacking both story and solid performances from the leads. Rent it in 2011 to watch on your new 3-D HDTV, otherwise its only interesting a semi-history lesson on Greek mythology.

Alpha and Omega

Skip-it - This 3-D animated film about two wolves in love is actually hard on the eye, and totally pointless to see. 

Coraline

Skip-it - This animated stop-motion 3-D horror fantasy film based on Neil Gaiman's 2002 novella of the same name was only worth seeing in 3-D theaters.
